This post is about a user instrument available for the Nebulae 2 (Neb2) eurorack module.
The eurorack module and most of the underlying software is made by Qu-Bit Electronix. Thank you!
The instrument available here is made by an enthusiast for these various sound platforms. I am not affiliated with Qu-Bit and the software hasn't been officially sanctioned by them. (The software is pretty cool, though!)

The instrument that accompanies this Readme file is called: WindowFileSwap05.instr
It is based on the newSize05danish instrument, which is based on the default instrument (a_granularlooper.instr) of the Neb2.
WindowFileSwap05.instr was developed to perform similarly to the newSize05danish instrument. The main difference is: the 'window' controls (both knob and CV) have been swapped with the 'file' controls.

Window controls: The behavior of the 'window' control has been swapped for the original behavior of the 'file' controls in the default instrument. With the WindowFileSwap instrument, the 'window' controls (both knob and CV) select the audio file to be played. File controls: The behavior of the 'file'controls (both button and CV) have been swapped for the original behavior of the 'window' controls, with slight modifications. With this instrument, the 'file' controls (both button and falling-gate pulse in the file jack) step through the various window envelopes. There are 7 options for window in the granular looper part of the default instrument. With the WindowFileSwap05 instrument, there are 14 options. (Most of the options are only subtly different from each other.) The 'file' controls step through each one of these options, one at a time. To help you know which window option is currently selected, the 'file' LED will stay lit during choices 8-14. |

(Note: The default instrument allowed you to glide between adjacent window options. Since the file control is a digital button (or cv pulse), you cannot glide between the window options with this instrument.)
If there are other differences, I have forgotten to mention them, or they are unintended artifacts of the code. Please check back here from time to time for the most current information.

This instrument works best when the module is running the latest version of danish## firmware, found on this site.
The instrument available here is not an official instrument from Qu-Bit. I think the software described in this post works well, but recognize that software is like speech - sometimes we express things that are not exactly what we meant or intended. Please use these instruments on your module at your own risk. (It is recommended that you keep a copy of the official firmware file from Qu-Bit, in case you need to reinstall an official version to your module.)
